§ 10-18. Penalties.

(a)

A violation of this chapter is a civil infraction.

(b)

The maximum civil penalty for a civil infraction shall not exceed $500.00.

(c)

If a person who has committed a civil infraction does not contest the citation, the civil penalty shall be less than the maximum civil penalty.

(d)

By resolution, the city council shall establish the amount of any civil penalty for a civil infraction.

(e)

Any person who willfully refuses to sign and accept a citation issued by an officer shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the second degree, punishable as provided by F.S. § 775.082 or 775.083.
