§ 14-49. Plan submittal, review, resubmittal, and modification fees.

Latest version.
  • (a)

Plan submittal and review fees shall be required in addition to the building fee, where the building permit fee does not adequately cover the full administrative costs associated with review of the proposed activity. The plan submittal and review fees shall be established by resolution of the city council and shall be paid at time of permit application. In addition, a plan submittal and review fee for master file plans, as described in chapter 7 of the land development code, shall be set by resolution of the city council.

    (b)

When required plans have been submitted and are rejected and returned for correction, the contractor shall submit revised plans and pay the required plan resubmittal fee.

    (c)

When any structure under construction is modified in a manner that the plans on file in the building department no longer accurately represent the permitted work, the contractor shall submit revised drawings for examination and pay a plan modification fee as provided by resolution of the city council. Modifications made at the request of the building division and modifications that do not alter the size, type of construction, occupancy classification, partition layout, or any means of egress, and can readily be examined for code compliance without the need for a comprehensive plan examination, shall not be subject to a plan modification fee.
