§ 14-81. Duration of certificate of competency; annual renewal.

All certificates of competency shall expire on September 30 of each year. Certificates may be renewed for the ensuing year without examination during the month of September of each year upon application to the building official. Upon application for renewal the applicant shall review his original application for a certificate of competency and update any information which has changed during the preceding year. If a registered contractor certificate of competency is revoked, abandoned or allowed to expire, the certificate shall not be renewed by the city. The person or firm holding such certificate shall comply with the requirements for a certified contractor certificate of competency.
