§ 18-234. Purpose.

The intent of the city council in adopting this article is to establish reasonable and uniform regulations for adult entertainment establishments, and prohibit sexually oriented businesses, so as to protect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of the city. It is not the intent of the city council to legislate with respect to matters of obscenity as regulated by federal and state law, including F.S. 847.
