§ 2-32. Notice of special council meetings.

  • (a)

    The call of a special meeting shall be served upon or communicated to the city manager or in his absence the city clerk. The official upon whom the call of a special meeting has been served shall promptly cause the notice or call to be served upon each member of the council and the mayor, either in person or at their place of residence.

    (b)

    The city clerk shall as soon as possible affix a copy of the notice or call of a special meeting upon the official bulletin board in the city hall. The notice shall state the date, hour and place of the meeting and the purpose for which such meeting is called, and no business shall be transacted at the meeting except such as is stated in the notice.
