§ 2-224. Classes of violations and reduced civil penalties.

(a)

Violations of city codes and ordinances, and the applicable reduced civil penalties, shall be as follows:

Violation classifications	First offense	Second Offense	Third Offense and Subsequent Offense
Class I	$25	$50.00	Court hearing mandatory
Class II	$50	100.00	Court hearing mandatory
Class III	$125	250.00	Court hearing mandatory

 

Reduced civil penalties will be assessed if the accused chooses not to challenge the citation in a court of competent jurisdiction.

(b)

Violations of city codes and ordinances, and the applicable nonreduced civil penalties shall be as follows:

Violation classifications	First offense	Second offense and subsequent offense
Class I	$50.00	$100.00
Class II	100.00	200.00
Class III	250.00	500.00

 

Nonreduced civil penalties will be assessed by a court of competent jurisdiction if a citation is unsuccessfully challenged by the accused or in cases where a court hearing is mandatory.

(c)

Violations of city codes and ordinances which constitute civil infractions for which citations may be issued are as follows:
