Article III. PRIVATELY OWNED BURGLARY ALARM SYSTEMS |
§ 46-57. Duty of owner or manager of premises; penalty for noncompliance.
Prior to the installation or use of any type of alarm system the owner or manager of the premises shall furnish to the police chief the full names, addresses and telephone numbers of at least two persons who can be reached at all times and who are authorized to enter the premises and deactivate the alarm system. Owners or managers of premises with alarm devices already installed shall have 20 days from June 6, 1983, to comply with the above notice requirement. If an audible alarm continues to make any sound and is not turned off within one hour after being activated, then the owner or manager of the premises shall be charged a fee of $50.00 for each such occurrence.
