§ 50-81. Definitions.

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

Capital expenditures means those expenditures exceeding $5,000.00 in cost and having a useful life of one or more years.

Cypress pass means an annual golf membership available for purchase by the general public which entitles the pass holder to a single payment for greens fees for the entire year regardless of rounds played.

Director means the director of the parks and recreation department or his or her designee.

Founders club means a group comprised of the persons who enroll for the first year of golf course operation from an original list of 400 persons.

Holiday means any day designated as a legal holiday by the state.

Junior means a person who is 18 years of age or younger and attends high school, or who meets the requirements established by the United States Golf Association.

Legacy pass means one of the 100 annual passes allocated and awarded by the city to the original developer of the Cypress Head Subdivision to be assigned by the developer to residents of the surrounding development, or a founders club pass.

Legacy pass holder means an individual who has acquired a legacy pass and who has since acquisition renewed his or her pass in each successive year thereafter.

Nonresident means a person who does not reside within the corporate limits of the city.

Pass means a permit issued to a person upon payment of the applicable fee.

Play card means a card valid for a limited number of golf course plays.

Resident means a person who resides within the corporate limits of the city.

Surcharge means an additional fee for each nine hole round of golf played of which 50 percent, less applicable sales tax, is reserved for capital expenditures made for clubhouse, golf course, or golf course related facility improvements, renovations or restorations.

Trail pass means an annual pass to use a privately owned golf cart on the golf course.

Weekday means Monday through Friday of each week, excluding any holiday.

Weekend means Saturday and Sunday of each week.
