§ 74-40. Tampering with system prohibited.

It shall be unlawful for any person to open a hydrant or water tap or to take water therefrom; or in any manner to tamper with any meter or extend water pipe; or open or use any sealed fixture placed in or about a building exclusively for fire protection except in case of fire; or to tamper with, remove, injure or deface any hydrant, tap or meter, or to cover up, remove or injure any curb or meter box, without being authorized by permit to do so.
