§ 14-89. Invalidation of certificate of competency.

A certificate of competency issued by the city shall automatically become invalid upon the occurrence of any of the following events:

(1)

Expiration of the certificate of competency required by section 14-72 for a registered contractor shall immediately nullify and void such certificate of competency. The certificate of competency shall be deemed abandoned and shall not be renewed.

(2)

Expiration of the certificate of competency required by section 14-72 for a certified contractor shall immediately nullify and void such certificate of competency. The certificate of competency shall not be renewed.

(3)

Inactivation of the certification required by section 14-74 as a prerequisite to issuance of the certified contractor certificate of competency shall immediately nullify and void such certificate of competency until the required certification is properly activated.

(4)

Expiration or cancellation of the insurance coverage required by section 14-86 shall immediately nullify and void the certificate of competency until the required insurance coverage is provided.
